About Positive Pickleball Psychology

Who is This For?

This site is geared towards autonomous adults.

Some content might not be relevant for collegiate athletes or bona fide pros who may have higher stakes (large payouts, scholarships, sponsorships, etc.) in pickleball than social players, recreational players or competitive amateur players.

When applied appropriately, Positive Pickleball Psychology can be transformative.  It can support players in building confidence, managing adversity and strengthening their mental game.

However, like with everything in life, it is important that each adult discerns for themselves what's relevant for them.

Ready for self-awareness, growth and mindset shifts?

Who is This Not For?

We don't adhere to the 'old school' sports psychology's practices of negativity-based berating or shaming.  Nor do we support negative approaches such as being dismissive, belittling or punishing.  Finally, we don't back command & control styles of leadership when it comes to pickleball.

If you're seeking any of the above, this won't be a good fit.

This content and approaches may be unsuitable for people facing severe mental health challenges, those struggling with deep emotional pain, those resistant to self-reflection and self-responsibility, and those seeking quick fixes.

In some cases, a consultation with a professional service provider may be recommended.
